Lena droke into the Sanctuary parking lot, and parked. It was late into the night and she was wearing her duster, combats, singlet and jeans, (all black of course) as she got out of the car. She stuck her sunnies on her head. Even though she had been a hunter for over four thousand years she still kept up with the fashions. Even though she stayed in the dark she wore sunnies to A) keep her hair in place and B) for a fashion statement.
She headed into Sanctuary, it was time to come back. She hadn't been inside Sanctuary for a couple of years as she had been interstate, heading off the Daimons there. She walked up to the bar and nodded to the were that was tending. "Long time no see mate" she said as she ordered the usual and went and sat in the corner where she could see everything.
Her drink arrived and she nodded for him to put in on her tab. She had a long standing arrangement with the owner of the bar that she didnt have to carry cash with her. She gazed around, there were other Hunters, Weres, Apollites and some humans even, them that didn't know that things that went bump in the night existed and those that did. There were Squires and Webby kids. Things never changed around this place. She nodded to Kaie as she entered the bar.

Kaie jumped on her bike sometime in the middle of the night. Being just sometime because she didn't care what the time was. She popped a helmet on her head and revved the engine. Man, how she loved modern inventions. Walking everywhere had sucked. She turned and drove out the driveway, paying no attention to speed limits as she sped toward Sanctuary. That place was just plain awesome- no matter what time they'd invented it in. Though she allowed no useless emotion, she did take the time to appreciate good things.
She skidded to a stop, most likely leaving a dark, black rubber burn on the asphalt. She didn't check to see. She flipped the kickstand down with the toe of her boot and took the helmet off, tossing it down with precision on one of the handlebars while already walking toward the bar. Humans, Apollites, Squires, Hunters, Weres (don't say that to their faces. They'll kill you then tell you that they are not weres they are just plain wolves) ...they all came here. The humans were he only ones that didn't know that most of the people in here could kill them with a look.
She scanned the place with her eyes, seeing Lena sitting at a table by herself. She motioned for the owner to order her the usual and walked over to Lena, pulling out a chair and flipping it around to sit with the back at her chin. "How you been?" she asked when she was finally situated with her drink. Which she'd put on a tab, much to the owner's dislike. She never brought in the money even though they all knew she had quite enough of it. And most of it wasn't even from what Artemis gave her.

Lena smiled as Kaie came over, "Yea, getting there, dusting what about you?" She asked her, she could already feel the draw on her powers. They wouldn't be able to be here long before they had to separate. "Things been the same or is it me? I'm sure there are more Daimons these days" She said to her younger.
Kaie was a couple of thousand years younger than Lena but they got along ok, in fact they seemed to keep pretty much the same company. Mind you, Lena was a little less psychotic about it. Kaie liked ot go fast on her bike, whereas Lena just liked to go fast in suave cars.

Lena was looking the same as ever, always keeping up with the latest fashions. She supposed that would make you fit in better but that wasn't always a good thing. "Been fine... There're more Daimons every day. That's not saying they're as strong as they used to be, though." Most Daimons now would run away before they'd stand and fight. Very rarely would you not get bored while hunting. It wasn't anything like it used to be, when battle was a good thing and when men didn't expect women to be able to kick their butts.
Lena was more.... calm than Kaie. Older, too. And she liked to make that known sometimes by calling her 'old lady' or 'grandma' or something along those lines. But the drawing of power was always there and it was damn annoying, too. Couldn't Artemis just leave them be? Even if just for a little while? The only one that didn't draw their power was Ash. But he wasn't usually the best company. He was kinda... Big. And creepy. That was all she had to say on that particular line of thought.

Lena rolled her eyes "Tell me about it, Haven't had a decent fight in a few months. They tend to run but then they poof and disappear" She said, annoyed. Artemis did need to leave them alone, although according to her, the Dark-Hunters, belonged to her, and her alone, they were just run by Ash. "How long since you've seen Ash?" She asked Kaie.
She knew about Kaie's impertenence. Especially when she called Lena 'grandma' "I can see what's going through your mind missy" She smiled as she took a swallow of her drink. She had a triple vodka so she could at least srink something worth while. Hunters couldn't get drunk but it did a lot towards making them feel good.

"Yeah. Poof's the right word," she said, also sounding annoyed. They kind of went into these little hidey holes. Of course, they could only stay for a few days at a time. But all they needed to do was disappear and no one would be able to get at them. Stupid things. "Ash... It's been a while. I haven't really seen him around here. I don't honestly know how long it's been. What about you?" she asked, taking a sip of her drink. Not getting drunk was both a blessing and a curse. It all depended on how you looked at the situation. Dark-Hunters would like to forget everything once in a while, but if they were drunk, they wouldn't be able to fight.
Kaie grinned. "So?" She started to repeat grandma over and over again. It wasn't like she was giving anything important about herself away by thinking it. She was careful not to think anything about her past around those that could see into her thoughts. It just wasn't a smart thing to do. "So, old lady," she said, stressing the words, "I'm thinking that we need to kick some Daimon butt. What say you?" She was itching for a fight. And the more you looked for it, the more likely you were to find a good one. Though it was still a slim chance... so...
She didn't like having her back to everything in the bar like this, but she'd be able to tell if anyone was trying to sneak up on her- unless they were extremely powerful- not many were. She downed the rest of her drink. She had to admit that alcohol stank but it tasted really good. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a few crumpled dollars and a lighter. No cigs. Don't ask why she carried around a lighter and never smoked. "Hey, looks like I've got money to pay off some of my debt here after all."

Lena chuckled, "Mama Lo would be proud of you" She said, she shook her head "Stop with the old lady comments. At least I can still kick ass, missy" She smirked. "Ash? I haven't seen him for about ten years. Its about time he came to Daimon central again" She said, she too had been itching for a decent fight.
She stood up and finished her drink, she grabbed the lighter and took the cigs out of her duster pocket. She took one out and lit it, "Ta" She said as she took a drag of the cig and chucked the lighter back on the table, she couldn't be bothered to get hers out of the car.
She nodded to the bartender as she headed towards the exit, "You coming Kaie?" She asked as she took out her keys and pressed the button, the car unlocked as she headed towards it. It was time to go and kick some daimon ass.

Kaie caught the lighter before it flew off the edge of the table and put it back in her pocket. She put the money under her glass and stood, kicking the chair back into the right position with the toe of her boot. She put her fingers into her jeans and looked over at the owner, who was acting amazed or something. Like she'd never paid before. Okay- so that was pretty much true. Oh, well. "I'll stop with the old lady comments when the need strikes me," she replied, already walking to the door and not answering the question, to which the answer was obvious.
She walked out the door, feeling her powers leaving her more and more. That couldn't be any more annoying. Actually, it could. Like if having their powers drained killed them. That wouldn't be pretty. She pushed the door open with her elbow and walked out to her bike, picking up her helmet and swinging her leg over the edge, placing the helmet on her knee. She looked over at Lena's little car and smirked. She much preferred her bike over some car. Less gas and you could weave through traffic while not slowing down too much.

Lena got in her Jag Coupe convertible, also in black. She started in and listened to the motor hum. She put it in gear and reversed sharply before heading out of the parking lot. Daimons - here we come. She hit the sports shift as she exited, not looking to see if there were any cars coming. Afterall, unless someone killed her (which was highly unlikely) she couldnt be killed.
She took off heading down to the french quarter. WEaving in and out of traffic as she did so, smoking and generally looking forward to the fight. She hoped that Kaie coud keep up with the fast pace.

She shook her head when Lena just took off and put the helmet on her head. She turned the key and waited a couple seconds before going. She just turned right around and zoomed out the parking lot, easily keeping up with Lena. She might be on a bike but she could go pretty damn fast. She had modified the engine, after all. It was almost amazing the thing didn't blow up when the motor turned over.
She hit the gas and popped a wheelie, driving up next to Lena. World, meet Kaie. She's a little on the crazy side if you think about it. But if you ignore that tiny little issue, you're good. the front wheel hit the ground again with a small thud and she had to separate from the coupe so she didn't get smushed between a couple cars. No, she wouldn't die- but it would hurt like hell.

Lena pulled the car into the parking lot near Du Monde, she got out and put her cig out, stamping it into the ground. She looked around for Kaie as she readjusted her duster around her. She exepected Kaie to come roaring in any moment. She checked her tools; her blade and her stake, as well as her cigs and lighter. She would be very pissed if they were squashed.

She hit the front brake and let the bike skid sideways in the parking lot before it stopped. It was fun to do that. At least it felt like you had no control, if even for a second. She routinely kicked the stand down, pulled her helmet of, shook out her hair, then got off the bike. Sometimes the helmet came after the getting off the bike- but was that really important?
She didn't carry much with her- her lighter, a couple srads, and a dagger. But that was it. She could use telekinesis to kill he stupid bastards with whatever she could find around her. She could bend it into a weapon, for God's sake. It was a useful power. "I suppose we're ready to go, then?" she asked, walking up to Lena. No, they didn't have full power but that wouldn't make a difference against the cowardly Daimons of here and now.

Lena watched Kaie and nodded, "Whenever you are" She said as she got a cig out and lit it, this time with her own lighter. She took it out of her mouth and blew out the smoke, "If they break any of my cigs they're worse than dead" She said as she headed off on nightly patrol down the nearest alley way.
"Meet you here in about an hour" She said as she jumped up onto the roof and kept an eye out for the soul-suckers. They really needed to get a new hobby, that was for sure. She took another drag of her cig and headed off, southbound.

"You know, you have issues. Let's worry about your head and not your cigs. I'll buy you a new pack if they get destroyed." She rolled her eyes, turning away from the old lady and started walking away in the opposite direction. Daimons had some major problems, and it was their job to put the things in their place.
Kaie was almost sure to be late, time never being her type of thing. She didn't like people telling her exactly when to show up, which was why she didn't have a job, even though she really didn't need another... If you could count being a Dark-Hunter as a job, that is. Vampires. That was what most people would call the Daimons. They did technically bite onto peoples' necks- but it wasn't the blood they were after. It was souls. So, as soon as the humans figured that out, someone had better let her know.
The past wasn't a very happy thing- dying wasn't a very happy thing- and she tended not to look there. She'd blocked out those useless emotions and she'd like to keep it that way, thank you. in any situation, she could stay calm and level-headed, unlike most who would think themselves the best and not really pay attention to what was going on around them. yes, they had more power than humans but not enough to think themselves the most powerful things there were. Seriously, though, think about it... if the Gods had given them this much power- how much more power did the Gods have?

Lena headed tow where she saw some of the blonde bimbo's getting close to grabbing a woman. She jumped down behind them silently and said "Looking for me inkblots?" Before taking out her knife and stapping the nearest through the ink like spot on its chest. The others soon followed, though not without a fight.
By the time that Lena got back to the car, an hour was up and her jacket was ripped. "Shit, I'm gonna need to get another, that was my favorite one" She hissed as she leant against the duco. She took her packet of cigs out and noticed that they were all squashed. "Here we go again" She said as she jumped intthe car and turned the ignition on before speeding off to the nearest 24/7 where she could purchase some.
